Do these proclaimed “experts” really know what they’re talking about?

Some of these would-be parenting advice givers have never even parented a child! They've never dealt with potty training or crayon on the wall or had a child pull the fire alarm in a public building (yes, that's happened to me)!

So here's real-parenting-advice.com. I have dedicated this site to bringing you REAL ADVICE. All of the content comes from REAL experiences either myself or someone close to me have had.

You can’t get any better than first-hand advice from those who’ve been there, done that, can you?

So if I’m not an “expert”, what qualifies ME to give YOU advice?

I’ll admit, I don’t have a PhD in Child Development, (or any other PhD for that matter).

My greatest credential is that I am a stay-at-home mother of five children. They range in age from 6 months to 8 years.

Day to day experience with them has taught me much more than any book or class could have prepared me for.

What you'll find on this site is real parenting advice for situations that fall within the age ranges of my children.

What you won't find is advice on tweens or teens. I haven’t been there yet! However, lots of the advice can apply to all families; especially my section on “Family Matters”.

I realize that not every child is the same, and not all advice is going to be suitable for your specific situation. But I hope it will give you a place to start.
