Baby Food Recipes / Homemade Baby Food

Baby food recipes are easy! They usually only contain one or two ingredients!

Homemade baby food is easy, healthy and inexpensive to make.

Store-bought baby food is easy and convenient when you’re on the go. But if you’re staying at home, why not make your own?

Homemade baby food I ventured into making baby food because I live in a small town with a small grocery store. While my local store does carry baby food, it can be even more expensive than what I would pay at larger grocery stores.

I got tired of stocking up when I went on my big shopping trips. Plus, there were times when I just ran out.

So out of necessity, I learned to make my own.

The quickest and easiest methods I like to use contain pre-canned fruits (not in syrup) and vegetables.

You can use them alone, or invent new baby food recipes by making up your own combinations.

I can buy a can of vegetables for 48-69 cents on sale. I use my mini food processor to mush it up, and I can feed my baby 2 or 3 times from that one can.

So compare this to paying 40-89 cents per very small jar of baby food! The savings are amazing.

I make cereals by using my Nutrimill Grinder to grind oats, barley and rice to make oatmeal, rice cereal or multigrain cereal. It’s fresh and healthy!

You can make whole grain cereals, use fresh vegetables from your garden or farmers market and you can even make organic baby food.

So if you are tired of going to the store to load up on those little jars, or are just tired of paying the price, you now have an alternative!
