You will find in my links, more information on: Here are a couple of questions I had when I first found out I was pregnant. Please keep in mind that I am NOT a doctor. All of my pregnancy tips and advice are purely from personal experience. Your own experience may be completely different. Q: What are some of the physical symptoms I can expect during pregnancy? ▪ Nausea (morning and/or evening) ▪ Headaches ▪ Backaches ▪ Hips shifting/pain ▪ Frequent peeing! ▪ Hard time getting comfortable in bed These were my main bothersome symptoms during pregnancy. Q: How can I combat the above symptoms?Don’t get pregnant! Ok, I’m kidding! ▪ Nausea: Keeping something in my stomach helped me to have less nausea. Saltine crackers were the best when nothing else sounded appealing. ▪ Headaches: Doctor-approved pain reliever! Food and sleep also seemed to help me. ▪ Backaches: Doctor-approved pain reliever! Heating pads. ▪ Hips shifting/pain: Doctor-approved pain reliever! Also, sleeping with a pillow between my knees at night really helped. ▪ Frequent peeing!: Lots of water is important, so drinking less is not an option. But you can make sure to try and completely empty your bladder when you go. Also, I quit drinking liquids at least an hour before bed. ▪ Hard time getting comfortable in bed: I highly recommend a body pillow. While sleeping on your side, put the lower half between your knees and snuggle up to the top half. It helps support your belly weight. Q: Should I find out my baby’s gender at the ultrasound?

Most pregnant women will have an ultrasound at around 20 weeks. In this ultrasound, the tech will take measurements of the baby and generally asses the health of the pregnancy.Usually, at this time, they will be able to tell you whether the baby is a boy or girl. So, should you “find out”? Some say this ruins the surprise. I say, “You’re either surprised at 20 weeks or 40 weeks.” Obviously, I have found out the big surprise on all of my children during the ultrasound. I do respect those who want to wait; they have their reasons. But I can honestly say that at that awesome moment of birth, I can't imagine anything, (not even a surprise of “boy!” or “girl!”) could possibly add to the wonderful, euphoric feeling felt at the miracle of new life. I can only describe it as pure, unsurpassed JOY… Pregnancy is such a unique experience. It can be fun and definitely exciting. Take care of yourself – more than ever before. Eat right. Exercise – if your doctor approves. Get plenty of sleep. Enjoy the ride. Though sometimes bumpy, it will be over before you know it!
